A wounded tree

A wounded tree

01

On a farm in the United States in the 1950s.

A farmer put an iron ring around one of his elm trees to make it easier to leash his cattle.

As the elm grew, the iron ring slowly became embedded in the tree, leaving a deep gash in its skin.

One year, a strange fungal disease occurred in the area. All the elm trees in a radius of dozens of kilometers died, but the one with the iron hoop survived.

Why did the elm survive?

Botanists became interested and organized research.

It turned out that the elm had been saved by the iron ring that had scarred it.

The elm trees, which absorb much of the iron from the rusted iron rings, have developed special immunity to the fungus.

The tree still lives and thrives on that farm near Beulah County, Michigan.

In fact, we each person’s life, will be like this tree, suffered a variety of injuries.

But these injuries, and at some point, become a kind of nourishment, so that life becomes more resolute, strong, full of vitality and hope.

As Mr. Yang Jiang said:

“Everyone will have a very difficult time, the pressure of life, the disappointment of work, the pressure of study, and the anxiety of love all day long.

Survive, life will suddenly open;If not, time will teach you how to make peace with them, so don’t be afraid.”

Keep an optimistic heart, even if life is like a journey, but also a reed to sail.

Always believe that what doesn’t break you will make you stronger.

Those who make you miserable are not necessarily the ones who hurt you, and those who hurt you are not necessarily the ones who make you worse.

No matter what kind of fate, their mission is to ferry you.

I saw a short film like this:

Ah Hua, a rural girl, has been teased and bullied by her peers because of her fat figure.

Because of this, she felt inferior, but she could not change.

Her mother-in-law could not bear to see her despair, so she told her: “There is a dry well in the mountain. It is said that whoever fills the dry well with water, the Jade Emperor will appear and help her fulfill a wish.”

Hearing her mother-in-law’s words, Ah Hua picked up the bucket and went to fill it with water.

In the process of carrying water, she encountered numerous troubles, she was picked on, fell, and even bruised hands, bleeding.

She was in so much pain that she wanted to give up, but when she saw the bloated reflection in the bucket, she gritted her teeth and carried on.

Day after day, without fail.Until one day, the dry well was filled with water.

Full of expectation, she shouted to the sky: Jade Emperor, where are you?

But the sky did not answer, only a few white clouds drifting.

Ah Hua sadly lowered her head, but in the moment she lowered her head, she saw her beautiful face and slender figure reflected in the well water.

Zhan Qingyun, an outstanding student at Harvard, said:

“What makes Tang Monk a Tang monk is not the sutras, but the road to the sutras.”

Everyone goes through tough times, but when you get through them and look back, you’ll realize that those times made you who you are today.

Pain is the beginning of awakening and the only way to grow.

But if you are afraid of hardship and trouble, so as to avoid it, when there is no escape, these difficulties will become the biggest stumbling block in your life.

As the saying said, without a biting cold, how fragrant plum blossom.

Simple and happy things can make you happy for a while, but painful and difficult things can truly fulfill you.

Be tough with yourself and accept what makes you miserable.

Those who have suffered, suffered tired, will become the brightest star in the night sky, guide you to become a better person.

In our past knowledge, we all fear pain and want to avoid it.

But pain isn’t necessarily a bad thing.

Let you pain, sometimes is your noble person; The things that are painful are the things that you need to improve the most.

Writer Xi Murong said:

“Setbacks will come and they will pass. Tears will flow and they will disappear. There is nothing to discourage me because I have a long life.”

She tells us: life is a marathon, go through it, look back, experience of suffering will become a gift.
